The finalists for 2021 In the group stage of the Women’s Champions League, Chelsea will play Real Madrid.
The other two teams placed in the same group as Emma Hayes’ team are the Swedish club BK Hacken and the French team Paris FC.
Paris made it to the group stage after advancing through two qualifying rounds. The underdog French squad defeated both Wolfsburg and Arsenal, teams that last year’s finalist Barcelona and last year’s semifinalist Arsenal respectively.
The Women’s Champions League group stage will feature Benfica, Rosengard, and Eintracht Frankfurt in addition to defending champions Barcelona.
Last year, Barcelona defeated Rosengard and Benfica at the same stage.
In addition to playing Slavia Prague, Brann, and St. Polten, eight-time champions Lyon were paired with Bayern Munich, Roma, and Ajax.
Ada Hegerberg, a forward for Lyon and the first woman to win the Ballon d’Or, may compete against Andrine, a Brann player.
It is planned for the group stage to begin on November 14 and end on January 31. From each group, two teams advance to the quarterfinals.
On May 25, the championship will be held in Bilbao, Spain.
