Nigeria Sports Development Minister Sen John Owan Enoh, has promised to look into Roma Academy’s Concerns In Abuja.
The Roma Academy offers girls and boys the opportunity to learn the methodologies and training techniques that inspired talented players.
He made the promise when the team led by their President Robinson Adakosa, paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday.
The team presented areas of concerns, and the Minister said “we will certainly look into.”
He said Roma Academy offers methodologies and training techniques that inspired players such as Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi, Alessandro Florenzi and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
In another development, the Minister of sports development has on Tuesday joined the nation and the global football community in commemorating the 60th posthumous birthday of legendary Nigerian footballer, Rashidi Yekini.
Yekini, born on October 23, 1963, in Kaduna, and has left an indelible mark in the world of football during his prolific career.
“As an Eagle, Yekini’s contributions to Nigerian football are immeasurable,” Enoh said.
“He became an inspiration to countless young athletes in Nigeria and beyond, setting a high standard for excellence on the field.
“Rashidi Yekini’s name resonates with passion, dedication, and outstanding talent.”
He added that his unforgettable moments on the football field, including his historic goal during the 1994 FIFA World Cup, has left an indelible mark in the history of Nigerian football.
“Yekini’s records, achievements, and charisma continue to inspire generations of aspiring footballers across the nation.”

He said he captured the hearts of millions with his passion, dedication, and remarkable goal-scoring ability.
