The Uromi Like Minds Initiative’s (ULMI) Secondary Schools Football Tournament kicked off on Wednesday, bringing sixteen secondary schools across Uromi together to compete for the coveted title, with Ehboiyi Secondary School securing a win in the tournament’s opening match against Okpere Secondary School.
On Match Day 3, Agba Grammar School faced off against the Young Schoolers, as Agba Grammar were the better side, beating the Young Schoolers 3–0 before the end of regular time.
The second match of day 3 was between Idumoza Secondary School and Sacred Heart College, which ended in a 1-1 match result at the end of regular time. However, Idumoza Secondary School secured the win in the penalty shootout after scoring six penalties, and Sacred Heart College secured only five penalty wins.
The Uromi Like Minds Initiative’s (ULMI) Secondary Schools Football Tournament still continues today with the expectation that more schools will find their place in the next round as a fair playing field is provided by the organizers for all the competitors.
