Liverpool asserted their dominance in the Europa League group stage, delivering a convincing 5-1 victory against Toulouse at Anfield. At the midway point of the group stage, Liverpool boasts a flawless record, solidifying their control in Group E.

The scoring commenced in the ninth minute when Diogo Jota, with a mesmerizing solo run, weaved through four defenders before calmly placing the ball into the bottom corner, giving Liverpool the lead.

Toulouse swiftly responded seven minutes later when Thijs Dallinga executed a perfectly timed run from the halfway line into the box, slotting the ball home elegantly.

Liverpool continued to dominate the match as Wataru Endo, with a header, reclaimed the lead just beyond the half-hour mark. Merely four minutes later, Darwin Nunez extended their advantage with a well-placed shot from a tight angle, capitalizing on a rebound within the box.

Nunez came tantalizingly close to adding another goal in the 65th minute, but his shot from the right side of the box struck the post after an impressive run. However, Ryan Gravenberch seized the opportunity, capitalizing on the rebound to secure Liverpool’s fourth goal.

In the dying moments of stoppage time, the late substitute Mohamed Salah further cemented the victory with a precisely placed shot into the top corner from close range, outfoxing his marker.

Liverpool now comfortably leads the group with a five-point margin over Union Saint Gilloise, who defeated LASK 2-1. Both Union Saint Gilloise and Toulouse currently share four points, while LASK remains at the bottom without a single point.
