The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South zone Chief Dan Osi Orbih has urged members of the party in Edo State to select delegates that cannot compromise the interest of the party in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
He made the appeal at a crucial meeting with leaders of Legacy PDP from across the three senatorial districts of the state.
Orbih said the ticket must be given to a candidate with integrity.
In the meeting he tagged Legacy Coalition (the old PDP and the new PDP), he urged them to put up a very strong spirit to ensure that PDP has a good, marketable, and acceptable candidate for the next year gubernatorial election.
Orbih maintained that the members and leaders of the LEGACY COALITION will decide who holds the ticket and flag of Edo PDP come 2024.
“I want to appeal to you leaders, let us select delegates that cannot be compromised, let us nominate delegates that will elect candidate that will truly help resolve the problem we are facing in Edo State.
“On PDP retaining the Governorship Election in Edo State I stand.
“When the party will come out with its guidelines for the nomination of their candidates, we will wait and see those who belong to this coalition, who will take forms and present themselves for nomination , at that point, the leaders of this party in this state will come together and we must be bold enough to take position to chase out the stranger “, Orbih said.
