In a startling revelation, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused incumbent Governor Sim of Rivers State of orchestrating the burning of the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex. Additionally, Wike has asserted that Governor Sim has introduced divisive ethnic politics into the state, exacerbating tensions.
Addressing the press earlier today Friday which was duly monitored by Truth Live News, Wike expressed grave concern over the alleged involvement of Governor Sim in the destruction of the state’s legislative hub. Wike did not mince words, directly implicating the governor and raising questions about the motives behind such a destructive act.
Wike, who described Governor Sim as an “ingrate,” went on to claim that a significant majority of the state’s legislative assembly members are against him. According to Wike, 27 out of the 32 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have expressed their disapproval of Governor Sim’s leadership.
The accusations levelled by Minister Wike have added a new dimension to the already tense political atmosphere in Rivers State. The alleged burning of the House of Assembly Complex and the claims of ethnic politics have intensified the ongoing political rift between the FCT Minister and the Rivers State Governor.
