With two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, including a magnificent long-range lob, Al Nassr defeated Al Okhdood 3-0 at home in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
After Ronaldo scored two late goals in three minutes, Al Nassr had a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Sami Al-Naji in the 13th minute.
The 77th minute saw the first goal for the Portuguese sensation. Ronaldo retrieved the ball at the far post and unleashed a strong drive into the net from a tight angle after goalkeeper Paulo Vitor failed to deal with an Alex Telles cross.
His subsequent goal was what really got the Riyadh crowd up and dancing. The ball fell directly to Ronaldo as VÃtor sprinted out of his box to thwart an attack. Ronaldo took a touch before launching an inch-perfect lob over the goalkeeper and defenders, which landed right under the crossbar and into the net from a distance of more than 35 yards.
Ronaldo’s goal was his fifteenth this season in thirteen league games.
Al Nassr’s victory lifted them to second position in the Saudi Pro League, one spot behind leaders Al Hilal, who still have a game to play.
