#UCL: Manchester City Come From Behind To Win Stubborn Leipzig

Manchester City overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat RB Leipzig and take the lead in Group G of the Champions League with an outstanding second half display.

Everything changed in the second half with the entrance of Jeremy Doku and Julian Alvarez following a dull first half. Erling Haaland scored after a goal assisted by Phil Foden, but Phil Foden’s skillful finish leveled the score.

With three minutes remaining in the contest, Alvarez sealed the victory for City, who continued their unbeaten run in this year’s championship after more outstanding effort from Foden.

During the first half, the hosts played slowly and paid a heavy price for it. After 13 minutes, Lois Openda rolled Manuel Akanji to score a clean sheet. He then outran Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol later in the half, capping the run with a low drive into the net.

UCL: Manchester City vs Leipzig

Since both teams were guaranteed a spot in the group before tonight, RB Leipzig is certain to finish second in the group. On the last game day, they will now host Young Boys, while Manchester City will go to Red Star Belgrade on the road.
