With ten minutes to go, Bobby Decordova-Reid gave Fulham a 3-2 lead by heading in a superb cross from Tom Cairney at the back post.

Three minutes from time, Japanese replacement Waturo Endo leveled the score with a goal from beyond the box. Alexander-Arnold then half-volleyed home from the edge of the penalty area after receiving a half-clearance on his chest.

Due to two amazing goals, Fulham fell behind twice in the first half. Wonderful free-kick by Alexander-Arnold bounced back against the crossbar, hitting Bernd Leno and sliding into the net, and Alexis Mac Allister produced the most exquisite half-volley from 25 yards out with the outside of his boot.

Harry Wilson, a former Liverpool player, tucked home Antonee Robinson’s cross, and Kenny Tete’s close-range goal in first-half injury time tied the score at halftime.

Darwin Nunez was guilty of missing Liverpool’s best chances in the second, hitting the bar once and then shooting wide after Mohamed Salah had played him in, before Fulham took the lead which seemed to have set them up for a shock win.
