Nigeria and Barcelona player, Asisat Oshoala wins 2023 CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award.
At the Monday night gala in Marrakesh, Morocco, the 29-year-old was declared the gong winner.
Oshoala has now won the prize six times, making him the football player with the most victories overall.
In 2014, 2016–17, 2019–2022 Oshoala was voted the best African female football player.
The winner of the women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award went to Chiamaka Nnadozie of Nigeria.
The Nigerian Super Falcons were also recognized as the continent’s finest women’s national team.
The CAF women’s best XI was comprised of Michelle Alozie and Osinachi Ohale, two Nigerian players.
However, Deborah Abiodun was beaten to the women’s best young player prize by Nesryne El Chad of Morroco.
