The maiden edition of the Asue Ighodalo Unity Gold cup final will be played today at the main bowl of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The Gold cup donated by Truth Live Media Communications LTD in honour of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP leading governorship aspirant, Barrister Asue Ighodalo is to foster unity among the youths of the three senatorial districts of the state.
Edo Central had in zonal play off defeated Edo north 4-1 in the game played in Uromi on Wednesday, while Edo South team 2 defeated Edo south team 1 in a 2-0 entertaining match played at the Western Boys Football centre in Benin city still on Wednesday.
Special guest at the final today will be the man of the moment himself, Asue Ighodalo, who will accompanied by his political and business associates.
Supporters across the three Senatorial districts and even from other parts of the country will converge today by 3pm to witness the historic and unifying epoch sport event at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
