The Labour Party senatorial youth leader in Edo Central, Comrade Abumere Lucky, has said the youths in the district are ready to support any candidate throws up by the party after the primaries.
He said this while speaking to newsmen in Benin after an enlarge meeting with members of the youth wing of the party on how prepared they are in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Comrade Lucky said the party is supreme and so, they are duty bound to abide by its rules and regulations.
He said he is aware that the party has not anointed any of the aspirants as its chosen one to fly the party’s ticket adding that the youths must be guilded by that.
Lucky said that the youths yearn for a better Edo state, trusting that the candidate that the party will throw up will be the one with the leadership skills that will drive the development process of the state and not the one that will cause more hardship to its people.
The senatorial youth leader maintained that the party, with its large number of followers who are majorly youths, will work assidiously to ensure that the quest for it to produce the next governor for the state is achieved through its massive mobilization and canvassing for more membership for the party.
He added that the “Obidient Movement” will be reawakened when the time comes to achieve its desire objective, which is winning an election.
He however appealed to the party’s leadership to be mindful of those who do not really have the interest of the people at heart but are seeking to be governor of the state through the instrumentality of the platform of the party.
