In a recent documentary produced by Truth Live Media Communications LTD, titled Developmental Strides of Governor Obaseki in Edo state, residents who spoke to our correspondent during the tour commended the governor for silently achieving some enviable feet in road maintenance and construction, commissioning for use without the usual fanfare seen in some other states across Nigeria.
“The documentary showcased the Godwin Obaseki-led administration’s Rehabilitation and Construction of 565 roads, spanning 737 km across Edo State, and hailed them as a bold statement and testimonial that resonates with the people.
Commuters, benefiting from the newly constructed roads, commended Governor Obaseki for prioritizing performance over fanfare.

In interviews with residents, including traders, farmers, and Okada riders, the unanimous praise for Governor Obaseki’s initiatives was evident.
One of the residents in Agbede. Etsako West LGA, who spoke to our correspondent on the newly reconstructed Agbede-Awain road, Alh. Umoru Farooq Suleiman asserted that transportation has become so much easier and cheaper for them since Godwin Obaseki fixed the road.
He said: “From where I am standing, which is a stone’s throw from my house, Okada used to charge us N500 to get to my house because of the deplorable state of the road before now, but since the Governor fixed the road, it has become so cheap and more accessible to go home, sometimes we even prefer to walk home due to the beauty of the road. Everything has become easy for us here. God bless Godwin Obaseki for us.”
The narrative weaves together the tangible impact of road development, testimonials from those directly benefiting, and a glimpse into the broader community sentiments.
Governor Obaseki’s commitment to the progress and development of the state is evident in the road projects’ scope and quality, leaving a lasting imprint on Edo North’s landscape and economy.
