Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, expressed heartfelt condolences during visits to the families of late Rilwan Victor Giwa-Osagie and Coach Sebastian Brodrick-Imasuen, venerating them as generational changers and contributors to national development.

 

During the visit to Coach Sebastian Brodrick-Imasuen’s family, Governor Obaseki conveyed sympathy, acknowledging the football legend’s impactful life. He highlighted the need for personal connection, stating, “I should also come and see you personally and give you support.” Obaseki celebrated Brodrick-Imasuen’s purposeful life, emphasizing his role as a true hero and icon of Edo State.

Truth Live News gathered that in a separate condolence to the family of Rilwan Victor Giwa-Osagie, Obaseki praised the late icon’s achievements in the corporate community. Referring to him as Edo State’s equivalent of Akintola Williams in the accounting profession, Obaseki remarked, “He was our equivalent of Akintola Williams.” The governor urged celebration of Giwa-Osagie’s life, emphasizing his positive impact and the exemplary path he paved.

Throughout both visits, Governor Obaseki expressed gratitude for the legacies left behind by the departed, stating, “the legacy they have left behind will continue to stand the test of time.” He conveyed sympathies, recognizing the families’ challenging times, and assured them of support.

In response, the families appreciated Governor Obaseki for his personal gestures and the time he took to visit during their trying period.
