Kenneth Omeruo had said that the Super Eagles are focused on action rather than words as they face Angola in the quarter-final of the 34th edition at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan on Friday.

Omeruo, a key defender, entered the fray during the Round of 16 victory over Cameroon and is confident that the Palancas Negras (Sable Antelope) will face defeat by the final whistle.

Expressing the team’s serious approach, Omeruo stated, “We do not need to go into back-and-forth chatter with any team. The Super Eagles are in Cote d’Ivoire for serious business.”

Reflecting on previous encounters with Angola, he highlighted the competitiveness and emphasized the team’s commitment to letting their performance speak on the pitch.

Omeruo dismissed pre-match talk from the Angolan side, stressing that actions on the field matter more than words.

He highlighted the team’s journey, from an initial draw against Equatorial Guinea to victories over Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon, underlining the need for continuous hard work and self-belief.
