Luton Town manager, Rob Edwards, has lauded Elijah Adebayo, expressing confidence in the striker’s potential and foreseeing a “high ceiling” for his achievements.

Adebayo’s outstanding hat-trick contributed to Luton’s impressive 4-0 victory against Brighton in Tuesday’s Premier League match. With this triumph, Luton has climbed out of the bottom three for the first time in nearly two months.

The 26-year-old, born in England but of Nigerian descent, has now scored eight goals in the Premier League this season. Adebayo’s quick impact was evident as he netted his first goal just 19 seconds into the game, setting the tone for Luton’s dominant performance.

Edwards commended Adebayo’s improvement in various aspects of his game, particularly emphasizing his reliability without the ball and tireless work rate.

The manager highlighted Adebayo’s versatility, citing his ability to defend set-pieces, press opponents, and score crucial goals.

Edwards expressed optimism about Adebayo’s future, stating, “He’s progressing really well. He’s got a really high ceiling. If he stays focused and keeps working hard, he can go a long way and have a really good career.”
