The 2024 Edo State Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Asuelimhen Ighodalo said his administration will restore excellence to Auchi, the headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of the state if elected as governor.
Ighodalo, who made the promise during his visit to PDP leaders and members in Etsako West on Thursday, remarked that Etsako West in the past was synonymous with excellence, hence his desire to revamp and transform the place into major tourism and eco-sports tourist centre in Africa.
He tasked members of the party on unity, stressing that it is only in unity that the PDP would be able to move forward and become the unbeatable party in Nigeria again.
There was a time in Nigeria when there was nobody who didn’t know Auchi in Edo State. This is because the place was a sporting hub of the country. But those glorious days will be reacted if I am elected as governor of Edo State.
“I will use my power and gift of attracting people, investors development, and excellence to revamp the game in Auchi. We need to be united as a party in order to move and make it the unbeatable party in Africa again
We should learn how to forgive one another and forget about the past. Our priority should be our tomorrow where we will have good roads, schools, hospitals, security, employment and other development, He said.
So, I appeal to you all to be united and support the aspirant that can help to bring development to our people. Choose good leadership that will take us forward and this I represent.”
The governorship hopeful particularly promised the people of the area road infrastructure and good governance, noting that road infrastructure is key to the viable economic development of any society.
Ighodalo disclosed that his visit to the locality was part of his ongoing local government area tour across the state to inform PDP members of his governorship aspiration with a view to seeking their support.
