Former Presidential Aide Cairo Ojougboh tragically passed away while watching the Nigeria vs. South Africa AFCON game.

The former Presidential Adviser on National Assembly Matters under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ojougboh collapsed when SA equalized through penalty and died shortly after.

Born on September 8, 1959, in Delta State, Nigeria, Ojougboh was not only a seasoned politician but also a medical doctor.

His political career included serving as a House of Representatives member and as the immediate past Director of Projects on the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

He represented Nigeria as basketball captain at many international competitions in his hale day and was an ardent sports lover and enthusiast.

Additionally, Truth Live News gathered that he chaired the Ojougboh Foundation.

Ojougboh’s unexpected death, occurring amidst his involvement in the All Progressives Congress and his former governorship aspirations, casts a somber shadow over Nigeria’s political arena.

His family confirmed the news, stating his body has been taken to the mortuary. Ojougboh’s sudden demise leaves a void in both Nigerian politics and the community he served.
