Sabo, Kaduna

The Christian community has experienced relative peace and security since the emergence of its new governor, Uba Sani.

That elevated status was shattered last night as residents of Goningora in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have staged a protest on the Abuja-Kaduna highway, reacting to a recent bandit attack in their community.

Truth Live News can confirm that the incident occurred on Wednesday night, resulting in multiple residents being kidnapped and others sustaining injuries.

In response, enraged locals blocked the highway on Thursday morning, causing significant traffic congestion and leaving numerous motorists and travelers stranded.

Tragically, two individuals, including a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force, were reportedly killed during the attack. This assault follows closely on the heels of a recent operation by soldiers that led to the elimination of a notorious bandit leader, Boderi Isyaku, and some of his cohorts in the same Chikun LGA.

The situation escalated when the bandits retaliated, setting fire to a military armored vehicle during a subsequent confrontation with soldiers.
