Projects built with taxpayers money serve to benefit society as a whole by providing essential infrastructure, services and resources.

Therefore, the wife of president Sen. Olumeri Tinubu, has commissioned Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre for women in Cross River State, south south Nigeria.

Represented by the wife of the Senate President Mrs. Unoma Godswill Akpabio, the First Lady of Nigeria, highlighted significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities for women.

Moreover, she observed that the establishment of the ICT Centre was in line with the prevailing realities.

Furthermore , she praised the ingenuity of the First Lady and the proactiveness of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for this initiative.

Also, she observed that the Centre will be a potential to bridge the gap between government, industry, and academics, fostering research and innovation in ICT.

Meanwhile, the wife of Cross River State Governor Rev.Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, has hailed the collaboration between Renewed Hope Initiative and the NITDA.

During the commissioning, she noted that the Renewed Hope Initiative aims to equip ICT centers, thereby empowers women and girls through technology infrastructure.

Nevertheless, the state Commissioner for Science and Technology Mr Justin Beshel, has emphasized the role of the Digital Economy Centre in shaping the future workforce.

He highlighted the importance of ICT in education and entrepreneurship, adding that the ICT Centre will boost economic growth, innovation, and social progress in Nigeria.

They celebrated the milestone achievement and underscores the importance of technology in education and economic development.

Information Unit of the wife of Governor reported that together with the entourage proceeded to The College of Health Technology, Moore Road Calabar to commission Solar lights and Free Internet Infrastructure for students.

Accordingly, the infrastructure will aid the ease of study and access to uninterrupted power and internet connection.

While it may seem unnecessary to host elaborate ceremony for projects founded by taxpayers money this event serve to inform the public about the use of public funds.

In addition, promotes transparency, accountability and boost public morale while demonstrating the commitment of government officials to serving their community.
