The ‘Johnny’ crooner unveiled that numerous entertainment executives have solicited sex from her in the past, luring her with promises of lucrative opportunities.
She expressed no remorse for rebuffing their advances, asserting that she values her dignity and the firm support of her fans.
“There was a time in the industry when everyone wanted to sleep with me, and it was like, ‘Yemi, if you don’t do this, you won’t have that.’ Today, men are the reason I don’t win awards in Nigeria,” as quoted by WithInNigeria.
“Complying with such demands felt like a necessary hurdle to access certain platforms, secure deals, and even win awards. However, when I resolved never to compromise my principles for personal gain, numerous opportunities were automatically closed off to me.”
