C’River Govt Enjoins Muslims To Celebrate Eid-El-Fitr With Tolerance

Cross River State Governmment has enjoined Muslims across the state to celebrate 2024 Eid-El-Fitr with virtue of tolerance.

The charge contained in a statement released on Monday by the State Commissioner for Information Hon. Erasmus Ekpang.

Furthermore, the government enjoined them to exhibit love, kindness , peace and good neighborliness.

As they celebrate the auspicious occasion Marking successful completion of fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan, it charged them to show compassion as exemplified by prophet Muhammed.

Also, the statement highlighted the cordial relationship between Muslims and members of other faith.

It observed that their relationship has contributed immensely to progressive peace and tranquility permeating nooks and crannies of Cross River.

Moreso, “let the spirit of Unity be our watchword so that together peace and oneness which we so cherish can be archived in our Nation.”

“This is our first season of sweetness that presents us a veritable platform to showcase our unique offering,” it said.

Meanwhile, the government also has encouraged residents of the state to celebrate with Muslims faithful with decorum and tactful moderation.

Additionally, it urged all to eschew all forms of untowards behaviors that do not represent the state character and nature.

The statement reads thus: “the Cross River State Governmment heartily felicitates all Muslims across the world.”

“Especially, those in our dear state on auspicious occasion of the 2024 Eld-el-fitr celebration.”

Thus, “marking the successful completion of fasting in Holy month of Ramadan.

“As we celebrate this special occasion in the Muslims calendar, Governmment hereby enjoined all Muslims to imbide and practice the virtues of kindness.”

“Also alongside love, peace, tolerance and good neighborliness and compassion as exemplified by Holy Prophet Muhammed-peace be unto him.”

“For us as a state, government is particularly impressed with the cordial relationship between Muslims and members of other faith.”
