Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and has called for prayers for peace in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
In a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was emphasized that the holy month of Ramadan presented an invaluable opportunity for prayers and seeking divine intervention regarding the security challenges facing the country.
The statement further urged the Muslim community to uphold the values and lessons imbibed during Ramadan beyond the conclusion of the month.
“Eid al-Fitr is a time of immense joy, symbolizing the successful culmination of the fasting period and spiritual introspection during the holy month of Ramadan,” the statement expressed.
“During Eid, Muslims express gratitude for the health and opportunities bestowed upon them by Allah to fulfill their fasting obligations.”
“I extend heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim communities in Zamfara, Nigeria, and across the globe. May we celebrate numerous Eids in robust health,” the statement concluded.
