In a significant political shift, a number of members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State have switched allegiance to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Today, the Executive Chairman of Owan East LGA, Hon. Prince Aminu Okodo-kadiri, officially welcomed the new defectors during a gathering in Ovbiomu community, Ward 2.
Expressing their reasons for defecting, the former APC members highlighted the hardships faced by Nigerians under the current APC administration, stating that it shows APC don’t have the interest of Edo State People at heart.
They pledged their full support to the PDP, aiming for victory in the upcoming Governorship election.
Among those who defected are Mr. Adebayo, Mr. V.O. Ahanmisi, Chief R. Aigbevbole, Orhe Akele, Mr. Ohi Akele, Tunde Ilaboya, Mr. Dickson Ojearmirau, and several others.
