Nigeria Sports Minister Receives Delegation Organizing Civil Service Week

The Nigeria Minister of Sports Sen. John Owan Enoh, has received a delegation organizing the up coming Civil Service week in June.

The delegation include the acting permanent secretary Service Welfare Office Dr Comfort Adeosu.

Minister of Sports shares his views with the delegation’s leader

Minister Enoh made this known via a Facebook post saying he, Permanent Secretary and members of his team received the delegation in Abuja.

He observed that the team thought it wise to honour sports men and women who are in the Civil Service with a sports achievement award.

Therefore, “this development is highly welcome and appreciated by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development,” he revealed.

The minister’s team and the delegation gather in a meeting to exchange views

Additionally , he said he has also met with the Commissioner for Sports Ogun State, Wabiu Isiaka and Dr Kweku Tandoh the Executive Secretary of the 22nd National Sports Festival, Ogun State Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

“The meeting was in furtherance of preparations and strategies for proper execution of the anticipated games,” Sen. Enoh explained.

For instance, members of the minister’s team for the meetings include Mrs Tinuke Watti the Permanent Secretary, Directors and Asst. Directors led by Mrs Tecla Opara the acting Director Para-Sports.

The meeting of the Minister with the delegation marks a significant milestone for sports’ growth and development.

The Civil Service week in Nigeria is expected to hold in June 2024, and civil servants are eagerly awaiting to celebrate the announced week in their respective offices and states.
