The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for the Edo State September election, Asue Ighodalo, has praised the return of the Benin Royal stools looted by Britain and kept in Germany for over a hundred years ago.
In a statement personally written by Asue Ighodalo to the Oba of Benin, made available to Truth Live News today, Thursday, the leading Edo PDP gubernatorial candidate congratulated His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpa, Oba Ewuare II, and the entire citizens of Edo State, on the repatriation of two very significant royal stools from Germany.
According to Ighodalo, the repatriation of the highly treasured royal stools back to their roots signifies the restoration of Edo cultural heritage as well as the acknowledgement of the Great Benin Kingdom in the artistic world.

Truth Live News reports that the return of the Benin Royal stools is a major achievement for the Edo State government and the Benin Kingdom.
