The Edo State Government has firmly debunked the rampant rumors circulating on social media that the State Executive Council (EXCO) and appointees have been dissolved.

In an official statement made available to Truth Live News on Tuesday, the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., labeled the rumors as the work of mischief makers and fifth columnists intent on sowing panic and confusion for their selfish gains.

“The rumor about the dissolution of the EXCO and other appointees is completely false and baseless,” Ogie stated. “These mischief makers are trying to create unnecessary chaos and destabilize the smooth functioning of our government.”

Ogie urged all appointed officials, including Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants, to remain focused on their duties and responsibilities. He assured them that the government stands united and continues to work diligently towards the progress and development of Edo State.

The Edo State Government’s swift response highlights its commitment to maintaining order and transparency amidst the proliferation of fake news. Citizens are encouraged to verify the authenticity of information from official sources before sharing it on social media.

“The public is advised to disregard the fake and fabricated news and trust only information coming from verified and credible sources,” Ogie emphasized.
