A prominent socio-political support group, Asue Ighodalo Patriots, has pledged to mobilize and vote massively for Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, in the upcoming election.
The group commended Ighodalo for his godly, honest, humble, and peaceful disposition.
This commitment was announced during a consultation visit to PDP Chairman, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, at the party’s Secretariat in Benin City.
The visit coincided with the launch of the group’s constitution and the commissioning of a 34-seater coaster bus by the state chairman, intended for campaign activities.
Mr. Paul Smith Eghobor, the group’s convener, highlighted their widespread membership across all senatorial districts, local governments, wards, and units in the state.
“We are ready to vote for Dr. Asue Ighodalo because he is a devout personality and will perform well like his predecessor,” he stated.
Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the PDP State Chairman, expressed his gratitude for the group’s support. He noted that Edo State has enjoyed peace, development, and progress over the past seven years, and he believes that Ighodalo’s election would continue this positive trend.
In their remarks, state Coordinator Hon. Osemuahu Odiase and Deputy State Coordinator Lady Patra Cole emphasized the importance of voting for Ighodalo and the PDP.
They stressed that the development achievements of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki should be sustained through Ighodalo’s continuity agenda.
The duo thanked the State chairman and other state executives present for the warm reception given to them, adding that the group will not let the party down.
