Dr. Asue Ighodalo, a frontline gubernatorial aspirant in Edo State, attended the annual Summit of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) yesterday, where he pledged to work closely with community pharmacists to tackle the menace of fake drugs in the state.
Speaking at the event, Ighodalo acknowledged the important role community pharmacists play in ensuring the health and well-being of citizens and promised to collaborate with them to build a robust healthcare system in Edo State if elected as Governor.
Truth Live News reports that his campaign slogans, #AsueIghodalo2024 and #AsueOgie2024, were prominently displayed at the event, which was attended by pharmacists and healthcare professionals from across the state.
The summit also featured discussions on the challenges facing community pharmacists in Edo State and the need for increased support and collaboration with government agencies to combat the spread of counterfeit drugs.
