Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has cautioned the club’s owners to be patient with new manager Enzo Maresca, stressing that building a solid and successful team takes time.
Lampard, in an interview with talkSPORTS, noted that Maresca needs the freedom to make decisions without interference.
Lampard, who witnessed the team’s struggles firsthand last season, believes that Maresca deserves the chance to assess the squad, make necessary changes, and bring in new players.
“There’s still a gap between Chelsea and the top clubs, so patience is key.
“Let Maresca do his work, and we’ll see how they perform next season. They finished on a positive note, which is encouraging,” Lampard said.
