Manchester United defender Johnny Evans has thrown his support behind under-fire manager Erik Ten Hag, describing him as a “top-class” coach.
Evans, despite calls for Ten Hag’s sacking, said the Dutch tactician has shown his quality by leading the team to FA Cup glory.
In an interview with the club’s website, Evans urged the management to keep faith in Ten Hag, praising his innovative approach to the game.
“I think he’s a top-class manager. I learned so much from him last season, and his ideas about the game are fantastic.
“He’s opened my eyes to different styles of play, and I feel like I’m still improving under his guidance,” Evans said.
Evans also shared his own passion for the game, saying, “I love playing football… the adrenaline of matches is what it’s all about. As you get older, training gets tougher, but the desire to improve and get better is what drives me.”
