Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) Condemns Vandalism of Campaign Billboards

In a strong statement released today, and made available to Truth Live News, the Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) has vehemently condemned the recent spate of vandalism targeting campaign billboards belonging to Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.

The press release stated that Benin City residents were shocked and bewildered by the widespread destruction and vandalization of billboards at key intersections, including Asoro bus stop, UNIBEN Ekenwan Campus, Agboma junction at Ekenwan road, and Akenzuwa after stadium road junction. They insisted that such brazen acts of thuggery not only undermines the democratic process but also encroaches upon the fundamental right to free expression.

TAMO praised their principal, Barr Asue Ighodalo for his remarkable composure, and staying unruffled by the incidents, rather opting for a dignified response through proper channels rather than resorting to inflammatory rhetoric. They asserted that hos unwavering commitment to a peaceful and issue-oriented campaign is laudable, reflecting his genuine concern for the welfare and prosperity of all Edolites.

The organization highlighted that it is binding upon all candidates and their supporters to uphold democratic principles and engage in constructive dialogue, eschewing violence and destruction.

In their opinion, The future trajectory of Edo State is hinged upon the collective ability to foster a discourse that prioritizes governance and unity over personal or political agendas.

The Team Asue Ighodalo Media Organization called upon the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into these reprehensible acts and ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.

Furthermore, they implored all candidates and stakeholders to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, fostering a climate of peace and transparency as we approach the elections on September 21, 2024.

The spokesman assured the public that their principal, Dr. Asue Ighodalo remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing the interests of Edo State and its populace and called on all stakeholders to unite as a community to denounce violence and division, embracing a shared vision of progress and prosperity for all.
