The Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr. Godwins Marvellous Omobayo, has urged youths to vote for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as he remains the best candidate.

He also asked them to look beyond political affiliation and support the best governorship candidate in the forthcoming election in the state.

The Deputy Governor gave the advice when he played host to representatives of National Association of Edo State Students, NAESS who gave him an award of excellence as an icon of true leadership.

Omobayo noted that the support for the best candidate became imperative in order to sustain the developmental strides of Godwin Obaseki-led administration in the best interest of the state.

While extolling the qualities of the PDP candidate, Dr Asue Ighodalo, the Deputy Governor said that there was no controversy about the fact that the PDP candidate was the best among other candidates vying for the number one citizen of the state.

He expressed delight over the support Asue Ighodalo was getting from the Obedient Movement, noting that the group had been printing campaign materials and fez caps to support the PDP campaign organisation.

Omobayo posited that events happening in the state at the moment was unprecedented, as it only occurred during Peter Obi’s wave in the last presidential election.

He emphasized that in the interest of oneness and fairness, Asue Ighodalo from Edo Central should be supported for power rotation among the three senatorial districts of the state.

Earlier, National President, National Association of Edo State Students, NAESS, Comrade Aliu Amuda and National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Momoh Mashood, said their visit was to appreciate the contributions of the Deputy Governor towards nation building.

They were full of praises for Omobayo for his open door policy, immense exposure, wisdom, professional experience and love for fellow Nigerians to making the country a better place for all.
