With the view of contributing her quota to the victory of the Edo State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming governorship election in the state and to galvanize support for the candidate, Asue Ighodalo, a lady volunteer, Mrs Teresa Itohan Uwadiae has given a free bus ride for Benin resident in a clear demonstration of her suppor.

Itohan who conveys passengers free of charge along major routes in metropolis said the duo of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie have the capacity, ability and competence to lead the good people of Edo state.

The lady who drove passengers from ring road to Upper-Three House, Sapele road and Airport road giving Edo people free ride in support and contribution to the candidate, said she will continue to use her time, energy and resources to galvanize and mobilise support for them.

Teresa who is also a member of Asue/Ogie Youth Vanguard said Ogie has over the years used his personal resources to help and ameliorate the hardship in many families especially during festive season.

She said, “Ogie don’t need to know you before he attend to you, you don’t need to be recommended by any political leader before he identify your potential.

“He is a man whose political history is worthy of emulation. I want to appeal to all of you to tell others that, this men Asue Ighodalo and Ogie are the men that can move Edo state forward.

“I decide to provide free bus ride to our Edo brothers and sisters to demonstrate that better days are ahead under the Asue /Ogie governorship ticket. The APC as we all know has renewed poverty in the land. Even their supporters are gnashing teeth and crying in silence pretending all is well.

One of the beneficiaries of the free ride, Mrs Sandra Obanor prayed for the PDP’s candidate and his running while calling on Edo voters to support their aspiration on the achievements of Godwin Obaseki.

Also another commuter , Odion Samuel, who enjoyed the free ride to Upper Sakponba, a densely populated suburb commended the initiative of the lady driver for the show of love and empathy just as she promised to vote the PDP candidate in the forthcoming September governorship election.

Odion said, “Ogie is our own, we are all going to do our best to tell him thank you with our PVC. The PDP has performed and deserve to continue to provide the dividends of democracy. Edo cannot afford to entrust the state to an incompetent person.

However, Coordinator General of Asue Ogie Youth Vanguard, Mr Solomon Okoduwa and deputy coordinator Mr Tony Jimon thanked the lady driver for coming out to support this movement.

They said this is the time for Edo to experience good governance with Ogie and Asue noting that plans is ongoing to duplicate this type of gesture in other routes within the metropolis and other senatorial districts.

“The free ride will be going to some village markets to help convey goods and services of our market women free of charge so that the market women will in turn reduce the cost that would have been added to the buyers. This is what Ogie and Asue stand for”, the duo said.
