The Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) has issued a stern rebuttal to what it describes as a reckless misinformation campaign initiated by the APC New Media Campaign Council. TAMO in a statement released on Monday July 8th and signed by its lead spokesman Deacon Darlington Okpebholo Ray criticized the APC for its misleading and unfounded accusations aimed at discrediting Dr. Asue Ighodalo ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial election.
TAMO emphasized that it usually refrains from responding to such tactics, but the gravity of the misinformation necessitated a response. The APC’s latest claim, led by Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, calls for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify Dr. Ighodalo over allegations of voter card forgery—accusations that TAMO categorically labels as absurd and baseless. Additionally, the APC’s assertion that a Federal High Court invalidated the delegates who nominated Ighodalo was also dismissed as a gross misrepresentation.
Ighodalo, a professional lawyer, remains committed to a campaign focused on addressing the genuine needs of Edo State’s populace. TAMO urges the public to see through the APC’s attempts to derail Ighodalo’s candidacy with falsehoods and emphasizes the importance of issue-based campaigning.
TAMO calls on the APC to engage in meaningful and respectful political discourse, rather than resorting to baseless propaganda, asserting that the electorate will recognize and reject these desperate tactics.
