The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday Okpebholo, finds himself embroiled in an escalating controversy as additional discrepancies emerge regarding his personal credentials.

Recent investigations have revealed that Okpebholo performed poorly in his Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations (WAEC). Compounding the issue, there are inconsistencies between the year of birth listed on his academic results and the one stated in his affidavit for the governorship application.

Moreover, Okpebholo’s affidavit lists an Abuja address, contrary to the requirement that a governorship candidate should have an address in Edo State. This is a significant deviation from the established rules for eligibility.

Recall that earlier yesterday, SaharaReporters exposed another critical issue: Okpebholo is not registered as a voter on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. This discovery adds to the growing list of irregularities associated with his candidacy.

As the investigation continues, many are left wondering what other discrepancies might be uncovered about a man who aspires to govern Edo State.

Further details are expected to emerge soon.
