Late Wayas corpse arrives Abuja from London, Lawmakers signed condolences register

CROSS RIVER – The body of Nigeria’s late Senate President, Senator Dr. Joseph Wayas has arrived Nigeria after two years and nine months in London Morgue

Different report on social media indicate that Senators from Cross River Central and Northern Senatorial Districts Received his corpse at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, Wednesday, at 4:40 a.m (Nigeria time).

After the corpse’s arrival, the family, Lawmakers, kinsmen and other stakeholders again deposited his remains in the Abuja’s National Hospital’s Morgue.

The remains of the former Nigerian Senate President (1979-1983) arrived on board from Heathrow Airport London in the United Kingdom via the British Airways 083 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, on Wednesday.

Born 21 May 1941, Truth Live News gathered that Late Wayas died on 30th November 2021 in a London hospital, following a protracted illness.

Meanwhile, Senator representing Cross River North, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the member representing Obanliku/Bekwarra/Obudu Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke and Convener of the Who is Who Forum of Cross River North, Dr Dorncklaimz Enamhe and his Co-convener Mr Johnny Agim SAN proceeded to sign the condolence register at the Wayas’ Asokoro residence in Abuja.

Before Dr Wayas demise he brought FC Obudu,“The greatest impact he made in education and building people; and this is one of his greatest achievements as a leader from the extraction.

Most of all, “he was a wonderful man, a giver, kind hearted person, he loved people, and he did not want controversy,” says report.

Among notable stakeholders In attendance include; Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, Jonny Agim, SAN, Hon. Cletus Obun.
