In an overwhelmingling love for the people of Esan land, the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has okayed the creation of the Esan Enterprise Park, a 400-hectare industrial layout targeted at enhancing the state’s industrial capacity.
The Managing Director of the Edo State Investment Promotion Office, Mr. Kelvin Uwaibi disclosed that the new park is part of an ongoing initiative to develop industrial parks and business clusters across the state.
He said, currently, the state boasts of two active industrial parks, and there are plans for further expansion to meet investor interest in Edo Central and Edo North.
Uwaibi said, for instance, efforts are underway to establish a mechanic village in Auchi, demonstrating the proactive approach of local government officials to attract investments.
He added that the state’s commitment to fostering business growth is evident in its thorough approach to signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). A notable success story is the MoU signed two years ago with a development partner, which has since led to a €3 million investment in the state’s agricultural sector.
Highlighting the potential of the Esan Enterprise Park, he said the project will be driven primarily by private sector initiatives.
According to him “The state is currently inviting investment proposals and seeking profiles of industrious individuals from Edo State’s private sector to serve on the advisory board. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their profiles to invest@edostate.gov.ng.
“This strategic move aims to harness the expertise and resources of Edo’s sons and daughters, as well as friends of the state, to ensure the park’s success.
