The famous #EndBadGovernance protesters took to the streets of Benin-City, Edo State Capital, on Saturday, removing APC’s campaign banners and posters.

The protesters, visibly angry and determined, confronted APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Monday Okpebholo, forcing him to leave the campaign ground.

Chanting “We dey protest una dey campaign, you no dey feel our pain? Enough is enough,” the protesters highlighted their frustration with the current state of governance. The crowd’s unified voice echoed through the city, drawing attention to their grievances and demands for better leadership.

Eyewitnesses reported that the protesters, many of whom carried placards and banners with various inscriptions, dismantled APC’s campaign materials in several locations. The action underscores the deepening discontent among the populace, especially among the youth, who have been at the forefront of the #EndBadGovernance movement.

Monday Okpebholo, who was addressing supporters when the protesters arrived, was quickly escorted away by security personnel. His departure was marked by a cacophony of boos and jeers from the demonstrators, who continued to express their dissatisfaction with the APC’s governance record.

As the protests gain momentum, it is clear that the call for accountability and change is resonating widely. The protesters’ message is unmistakable: they demand leaders who genuinely understand and address the challenges faced by ordinary citizens.
