The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, is set to engage with Edo indigenes residing in Lagos as part of his ongoing Town Hall Meetings. The event is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday August 25th at the Sheba Centre, located along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland. This meeting comes as the election draws closer, with Ighodalo aiming to connect with key stakeholders.

This event is part of a broader strategy to involve Edo people living in Lagos in discussions about the future of their state. “We want to ensure that our Edo brothers and sisters in Lagos are part of the conversation regarding Edo State’s future. We encourage all Edo sons and daughters in Lagos to attend this meeting with Dr. Asue Ighodalo. It promises to be an enlightening session that will help them make informed decisions ahead of the upcoming election,” a source noted.

This Lagos Town Hall follows a series of successful engagements with the Edo Diaspora in three U.S. cities—Houston, Atlanta, and New York—from August 12 to 16. During these sessions, Ighodalo presented his comprehensive vision for Edo State, encapsulated in his “Pathway to Prosperity for All” manifesto. The Edo Diaspora communities, particularly those in Europe and the United States, are regarded as significant influencers in shaping the political landscape back home. Having already endorsed Ighodalo as the most competent and prepared candidate, these communities see him as the right choice to lead Edo State starting November 12.
