Joe Igbokwe, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, as an exceptional lawyer.
Igbokwe acknowledged that while many Nigerians may not know Ighodalo, he is well-versed in Ighodalo’s dedication to democracy and his role in fighting against the annulment of Chief MKO Abiola’s June 12, 1993, presidential election victory.
Igbokwe highlighted Ighodalo’s involvement with The Concerned Professionals, a group led by Prof. Pat Utomi, which also included notable members such as Oby Ezekwesili, Jimi Agbaje, and others. He described Ighodalo as one of the toughest lawyers, highly respected, and an exceptionally successful legal practitioner.
