Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara has foiled an attempt by Nigerian Police to allegedly seize sensitive electoral materials from the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).

Truth Live News gathered that the incident occurred at 1 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, just days before the local government election scheduled for October 5.

The police, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), attempted to breach the commission’s gates and strong room to cart away materials crucial for the polls.
