Rivers Crisis: Fubara Takes Swipe At Wike, Says He Met A Dead System

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has disclosed that his administration inherited a “dead system” upon taking office.

Speaking at Omega Power Ministries’ 18th anniversary and Chibuzor Chinyere’s 51st birthday, Fubara urged the public to pray for him to have the power to defend humanity.

According to Fubara, “Those of us outside understand your contribution to humanity … how many of our schools are still functioning to provide that level of training, it’s no longer there.

“We met a dead system which we are trying to revive… I want more power for the progress of Rivers State, more power for the defence of humanity.

“What you owe us is just one thing, to continue to pray for us not to lose focus. With your prayers, the purpose of governance will be achieved.”

Truth Live News reports that Fubara’s statement comes amid ongoing imbroglio with his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over control of the state.
