Former Manchester United attacker Dimitar Berbatov has criticized strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, labeling their goal-scoring start to the season “embarrassing.”
Berbatov expressed his disappointment, stating that Hojlund’s 2 goals in 10 matches since returning from injury and Zirkzee’s lack of goals since his debut against Fulham are unacceptable.
Berbatov, however, recommends signing Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, citing his goal-scoring form and connection with Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.
“I think there’s a special connection with the coach, so maybe we’ll see Gyokeres in a United shirt.
“Our current strikers aren’t producing, and we’re 18th in goals scored, which is embarrassing for a club like United,” Berbatov told Sky Sports.
