CALABAR: The Cross River state Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) has announced a landslide victory for the All Progressive Congress APC’s candidates in the just concluded local government elections.
The commission after Saturday’s LGAs’ elections which was adjudged free and fair in all the 18 LGAs, also announced the winners who all contested on the platform of the APC.
Truth Live News reports that the exercise was to elect 18 chairmanship candidates and 196 Councilorship candidates across the 18 LGAs of the state.
Below are the names of Newly Elected Local Government Chairmen and their party in Cross River State.
Hon. Egbala Bassey Egbala – Abi LGA (APC), Hon. Felix Akposi – Akamkpa LGA (APC), Hon. Effiom Bassey Effiong – Akpabuyo LGA (APC), Hon. Effiong Bassey Okon – Bakassi LGA (APC).
Others are Hon. (Mrs) Theresa Ushie – Bekwarra LGA (APC), Hon. Edodi Eyong Edodi (Edison) – Biase LGA (APC), Hon. Beatrice Etta Nyiam – Boki LGA (APC) and Hon. James Koko Anam – Calabar Municipality LGA (APC).
Also, announced were Hon. Patrick Okon Archibong – Calabar South LGA (APC), Hon. Henry Njar Anom – Etung LGA (APC), Hon. (Mrs) Mercy Nsor – Ikom LGA (APC), Hon. Sunny Ayang – Obanliku LGA (APC) and Hon. Kingsley Arikpo – Obubra LGA (APC).
Also , among them are Hon. Peter Undiandeye Akonfe – Obudu LGA (APC), Rt. Hon. Etim Asido Ukpong – Odukpani LGA (APC), Hon. Christopher Agbeh–Ogoja (APC), Hon. Yibala Inyang–Yakurr LGA (APC) and Hon. (Dr) Fred Okem–Yala LGA (APC).
Meanwhile, the Cross River state Governor and the leader of APC party Bassey Edet Otu, had on Monday sworn-in all the elected chairmen in Calabar.
