Since the demise of the first lady, Pastor Patience Umo Bassey Eno, more different groups have registered their condolences with the Akwa Ibom state Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, the Catholic Diocese of Uyo and the Christian Advisory Council, paid condolence visits to Pastor Eno in Uyo.
As a Christian community in Akwa Ibom State under the three different umbrellas, had a prayer session where they invoked a continuous strength on the Governor to bear the irreparable lost.
Chief Press Secretary Ekerette Udoh, in a post on social media reported that the Chairman of the Christian Advisory Council, Archbishop Joseph Ekuwem, State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishop Chris Nyong, and the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Uyo, Bishop John Ayah, each spoke for their individual group.
Accordingly, Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, admitted that CAN is his primary constituency and that their visit was particularly very dear to him.

Meanwhile, Truth Live News gathered that the Governor who is a widower shelved numerous activities marking the home going ceremonies of his wife for the Late Apostle Uduak Ekukinam Bassey’s funeral service.
The Late Apostle ( Engr.) Uduak Ekukinam Bassey, whom the Governor described as a renowned clergy, an Apostle of the Holy Ghost Grace Redemption Mission (HOGAREM), died at the age of 91.
His funeral was conducted by Holy Ghost Apostolic Redemption Mission, Afaha Ikot Ese Headquarters, Essien Udim Local Government Area , where he hailed from.
He urged the family to take solace in the life he led and to rededicate themselves to upholding the ideals he held dear, according to report.
“As he goes home to be with the Lord today, I urge the family to take solace in the life he led and rededicate yourselves to upholding the ideals he he held dear during his life with us,” Eno said.
He noted that he has made laudable contributions to humanity, especially in the South South region of Nigeria and preached the gospel of redemption, salvation and kindness and won many souls to Christ.
Moreover, “He did not only wear the garment of kindness and altruism, he showed in practical and concrete terms his deep concerns for people especially the poor and the infirm.”
Also, The Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Douye Diri, attended the burial.
