The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said himself and his family face a lot of difficulties for being in an opposition party in the country.

Revealing this in a video during a press conference, Obi said his family and business faces a lot of challenges because he is part of the opposition.

He said, “If you know what I face, what I go through, what my family goes through, you won’t even believe I should be standing.”

Obi, however, said he has made up his mind to continue working towards ensuring that Nigeria becomes a better place for all.

He said, “But I have made up my mind that if this be the end, so be it. Because you can not allow the country… it is difficult to be in opposition in this country; extremely difficult.

“Because everything is against you, people do not even want to see you,” he said.
Moving further, the former Anambra State governor said some of his colleagues and friends find it difficult to relate with him.

They also do not felicitate with him because they do not want to be perceived as being associated with him (Obi) by the government in power.

“They do not even want to talk to you. I see colleagues, I greet them at the airport, they do not even want to reply because they feel, they want the government of the day to see you or see them greeting you.

“Your business, everything you are involved with is dismantled,” Obi added.
