BENIN CITY – A renown Yoruba human rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has refuted his death rumour.

The claim was refuted through a statement issued and signed by his image maker, Olayomi Koiki and made available to Journalists.

In the statement, Igboho described rumour making the rounds on social media of his death as false and misleading.

The freedom fighter noted that the social media post claimed further that details of his (Igboho’s) supposed death would be disclosed soon.

The statement maintained that the Yoruba Nation agitator is in good health and currently spending time with his family.

“We want to assure the general public and supporters of the Yoruba Nation movement that Dr. Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho is alive, well, and in high spirits.

“There is no truth to the rumours being spread by certain individuals and groups trying to mislead the public.

“This is a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image and derail the ongoing self-determination struggle,” the statement said.
