Dr. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, representative for the Kiru/Bebeji constituency in Kano, has urged former Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso and Umar Ganduje to put aside their differences and work towards reconciliation.
Kofa emphasized that the ongoing conflict between the two leaders has hindered Kano State’s progress and that it’s essential for citizens with good intentions to unite and support reconciliation efforts.
Kofa acknowledged the impressive political careers of both Kwankwaso and Ganduje, highlighting their notable achievements in various roles.
He also recognized the enduring friendship between the two leaders and expressed disappointment over their current rivalry.
As a follower of Kwankwaso’s Kwankwasiyya movement, Kofa feels a personal responsibility to advocate for reconciliation, despite their political disagreements.
He emphasized that as Muslims, it’s their duty to bring people together.
Notably, President Bola Tinubu has also initiated reconciliation efforts between the two leaders, having met with them separately to discuss the matter.
