In another development, a heated argument between a teacher and a student at Moruga Secondary School has left the institution reeling.
The incident reportedly began when the teacher confronted the student for failing to tuck in his shirt, sparking a confrontation that quickly spiraled out of control.
Witnesses allege that the teacher slapped the student, demanding adherence to school uniform rules. The student, however, retaliated with a flurry of kicks, blows, and slaps, overpowering the teacher in a violent exchange that has sent shockwaves through the school community.
The teacher, unable to defend himself against the student’s aggression, sustained serious injuries during the scuffle. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that the teacher’s condition is stable but that he will require time to recover from the physical and emotional trauma.
The student, on the other hand, fled the school premises immediately after the fight. In an apparent declaration of defiance, he reportedly vowed never to return to Moruga Secondary School.
